The task behind the feature

When a group is useful but availability is unclear

A customer group needs an organised place to manage it.

Some business conversations work better with a small group of participants than a series of separate messages. The important question is whether the selected number is eligible for Meta's group API. The SAYLS workspace exposes group tools without pretending that every ordinary WhatsApp Business account has access to the same capability.

One practical way to use it

Check eligibility before creating the group workflow.

Start withOne eligible customer-group use case
  1. 01

    Check the selected number's eligibility

Review the official business account requirements and the number's status before planning a group-based service. An account's display name or ordinary verification alone should not be treated as proof of group API eligibility.

  2. 02

    Create a purposeful group

Set up a supported group and use the invitation and participant controls available for the connection. Make the purpose clear to members, and avoid treating group membership as blanket permission for unrelated marketing.

  3. 03

    Manage the conversation responsibly

Synchronise relevant group information, review participants and send supported messages. Keep someone accountable for the conversation so customer questions and membership changes are not left unattended.

Keep the next person in the picture.

Group availability depends on Meta eligibility and the capabilities enabled for your number.

Why this is useful in practice

Give an eligible group a place to be managed.

01

A shared context for small groups

Where appropriate, a group can let the relevant participants see the same discussion instead of receiving inconsistent updates separately. Keep the scope and audience narrow enough to remain useful.

02

An official integration path

The CRM uses Meta's group API capability for eligible accounts. It does not promise to turn an unsupported number into an eligible one or reproduce every feature of the consumer WhatsApp application.

03

Group work closer to customer work

Bring supported group management into the same business environment as other communication. Your team can review the setup without relying solely on one staff member's personal device.

Choose a useful starting point

Group tasks with a defined purpose

  • An eligible business coordinating a small customer group.
  • A controlled group discussion with invited participants.
  • A team reviewing Meta group access before rollout.

A little clarity goes a long way

A little more about whatsapp groups.

Understand the setup, the costs and the next step before you decide.

01Can every business use these group tools?

No. Meta imposes specific eligibility requirements for the group API, including the selected number's business status and subscriptions. Check eligibility first; CRM plan access does not override Meta's decision.

02Are these unlimited-size WhatsApp groups?

No. Participant limits depend on the supported Meta capability and the CRM configuration. Review the current workspace guidance rather than assuming consumer-app group limits apply to this integration.

03Can I add people without an invitation or consent?

Use the supported invitation and membership workflow and respect the purpose for which people join. Group tools do not remove privacy obligations or make unsolicited marketing appropriate.
